Beginner Piano Lessons:

Piano students are invited to begin instruction at the age of 5 or older.  Students can choose from two instructional pathways:

•  Certificate of Merit program from the Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC), or
  

•  A customized lesson plan tailored to each individual student based on their personal music goals. 
  

For students choosing  the customized lesson plan, the following lesson components are included:

•  Piano Technique
  

•  Music Theory
  

• Rhythmic Training
  

• Sight-reading
  

• Repertoire in various musical genres
  

• Focus on artistry and proficiency
  

• Modern Keyboard Styles
  

• Chords and Lead Sheets
  

• Improvisation
  

Students learn to read music quickly and proficiently by recognizing that music is repetitive and pattern oriented.  

Genres of music taught range from classical, blues, jazz, gospel, pop, country, and  Broadway musicals. 

Students are also invited and encouraged to bring their own musical projects to lessons.
